About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Assessment Service where you will be responsible for undertaking statutory assessments; working with families and partners to achieve positive outcomes for children and families. We are committed to doing things differently; implementing a model for working with Assessments which considers current research and best practice.

We are looking for someone who wants to be part of our ongoing journey to help shape services in Surrey for Assessments.

As a Service Manager, you will oversee a group of Team Managers leading integrated, multiagency teams that provide hands-on intensive support to children and families in response to assessed needs. The teams can access specialist workers for alcohol and drug use, mental health issues and / or domestic abuse.

As a skilled communicator, you will have the ability to work purposefully with a broad range of people to develop effective working relationships with other services within Surrey, as well as with partner agencies. You will ensure the service is focused on delivering quality services within budget and to agreed timescales, that provide the right outcomes for children, young people and their families.

Our team members are enthusiastic and supportive, committed to the provision of a quality service for children and their carers. We are looking for people with similar qualities to join us and continue the good work already being done. Surrey Children’s Service provides training to ensure competence and professional development. We will make sure that you receive a full induction and monthly supervision.
